What I want.

lucianothewriter:

What I want, is a Honduras without… corruption. Where a Honduran man, has the ability to walk outside of his house (one he own’s, and one that’s been paid off, without loans), freely and without fear of criminals.

One where women, are not afraid for their lives. Where the woman of the nation are…

Simply beautiful… Truth and hope are never bad things to say, nor to show. We all want a Honduras like that and while fighting for it, we create it.

It’s a little cold outside. 17 degrees. Which is why I decided to make some Honduran-style Sopa de Frijoles (bean soup) for dinner tonight.
I can’t believe I haven’t made it at all this winter. It’s delicious. Add some sliced avocado and a pile of homemade tortillas and you’ve got yourself one authentic, delicious Honduran meal.

Beautiful Lady of Sorrows. Called ¨Los Dolores (The Sorrows)¨, is a historic downtown church, at night, the church is lit up in a ghostly purple that highlights its intricate facade.

How did you get so awesome?

togrutajedi

I probably inspired myself by watching you getting more awesome. Thank you for your kind question, it´s all about trying to see new horizons and breaking barriers, but I have to say, the country is the awesome one here, I just show its potential.

Cheers for Honduras and for you!

I have to thank you. I'm African American, and Honduran. But my two separate families refuse to meet us. so my chances of going to Honduras are slim. with that said I thank you for your pictures, they make me feel as if I'm really there! :-) I enjoy your blog alot.

I´m really glad that you like this blog but I´m more glad that it can help a bit. I also hope that you come one day here and don´t even doubt to tell me, maybe I could show you around and help you while you are here… Honduras is beautiful but people like you,  with that desire of meeting their culture makes it even better.

Thank you again and I hope you accomplish every one of your dreams.

Best regards, from a Honduran friend.
